Change of name to Serafin Asset Management Ltd

The strategic cooperation between Serafin Asset Management GmbH, Frankfurt am Main (Germany) and AMG Fondsverwaltung AG, Zug (Switzerland), which was already initiated in September 2022, will be further expanded.

As planned, Serafin Asset Management Holding GmbH, Munich (Germany) increased its stake in AMG Fondsverwaltung AG at the end of February 2023 and now holds 75 percent of the company shares. As part of a unified market presence, AMG Fondsverwaltung AG will now be renamed Serafin Asset Management Ltd with offices in Zug and Nyon (Switzerland). The current founding shareholders will continue to be associated with the company.

AMG Fondsverwaltung AG expands sales team

AMG Fondsverwaltung AG («AMG Fonds») is strengthening its sales organisation in the context of its strategic cooperation with Serafin Asset Management. The communication and marketing activities of the cooperation partner Alpora AG will be integrated into AMG Fonds.

Daniel Durrer (formerly GAM Investments Zurich) takes over the management of the newly created «Global Fund Distribution» division, while Niels Fetkenheuer (formerly Alpora AG) is responsible for Product Marketing. There will be no changes in the existing support for clients and business partners. The persons currently responsible at AMG Fonds will continue to look after clients.

AMG Fondsverwaltung AG enters into strategic cooperation

AMG Fondsverwaltung AG («AMG Fonds») and Serafin Asset Management Group («Serafin AM Group») agree on a strategic cooperation. Alpora AG (as part of the Serafin AM Group) and AMG Fonds are specifically deepening their successful cooperation in the existing innovation funds.

The aim of the companies involved is to establish a high-quality and future-oriented asset manager. The recipe for success in this endeavour is the interaction of the three companies.

Organisational changes in the Executive Board and Portfolio Management at AMG Fondsverwaltung AG

Birgit Heim has decided to leave AMG Fondsverwaltung AG («AMG Fonds»), which we very much regret.

Patrick Hofer will therefore take over as the main portfolio manager for both innovation funds with immediate effect. He has been a reliable member of the AMG Fondsverwaltung AG team since 2007 and has been jointly responsible for the management of both funds since their launch.

Christian Bader will be the responsible portfolio manager of the AMG Europe Fund. He has been with us as an analyst for European Equities since the beginning of 2021.

New Portfolio Manager at AMG Fondsverwaltung AG

At AMG Fondsverwaltung AG («AMG Fonds»), Ronald Wildmann will take over as portfolio manager for the two Swiss equity funds AMG Substanzwerte Schweiz and AMG Schweizer Perlen as of 19 April 2022. Together with Patrick Hofer, Ronald Wildmann will continue to implement the strategy adopted for both funds.

We warmly welcome Ronald Wildmann to our team.

ALPORA Innovation Europe Fund - Again winner of the Refinitiv Lipper Fund Awards 2022 Switzerland and Germany

AMG Fondsverwaltung AG once again wins four of the coveted Refinitiv Lipper Fund Awards 2022 for the ALPORA Innovation Europe Fund. The fund receives the awards as the best fund in Switzerland as well as in Germany in the category «Equities Europe» over the last 3 and 5 years each. The fund has outperformed its benchmark by over 160% (as of the end of December 2021) since its launch in 2014.

Roger Fischer new member of the Board of Directors of AMG Fondsverwaltung AG

The General Meeting of AMG Fondsverwaltung AG elected Roger Fischer to the Board of Directors. As one of the founding shareholders, Roger Fischer served as CEO of the company until the beginning of 2021.

In the process of succession planning, Roger Fischer handed over the management of the company to Marcel Weiss and Birgit Heim as of 1 January 2021.

The Board of Directors now consists of 5 members: Erhard Lee (President), Carlo de Paoli, Bruno Christen, Roger Fischer and Anuschka Küng.

AMG Fonds new on the fund platform of ALLFUNDS BANK and ALLFUNDS BANK INTERNATIONAL

AMG Fondsverwaltung AG («AMG Fonds») is now making its equity funds AMG Europe, AMG Gold - Mines & Metals, AMG Substanzwerte Schweiz and ALPORA Innovation Europe available on the fund platform of ALLFUNDS BANK and ALLFUNDS BANK INTERNATIONAL. This will make it easier for ALLFUNDS customers to access the products of AMG Fonds.
